Cub Scout Pack 496 is welcoming all new, returning, and interested families of BOYS and GIRLS ages 5-11 to come out and discover about how Cub Scouts can benefit your child(ren) and family.

Not only will we go over what Cub Scouting is but we will explain how Pack 496 delivers the program. We will also go over some of our activities, dates, general advancement and answer any questions you may have about Cub Scouts. While the kids play games outside parents/guardians will relax in the AC with a quick video and information.

This information session will be held at 1500 Dahlia Dr, Virginia Beach, VA 23453  ->

Doors to our event will open on August 25, 2019 from 2:30am to 4:30pm.

Welcome to Pack 496!

About the Pack:

Pack 496 is located in Virginia Beach and is chartered by the Green Run Home Owners Association. Pack 496 is active year-round and conducts at least one major Pack event each month.

Some of our events include:
Bike Rides
Winter Camp-Ins
Pinewood Derby
Fishing Derby
Rocket Derby
Kite Derby
Day and Resident Camps
Community Service Projects
Various Community Parades and more!

In addition to our Pack events, we typically hold monthly Pack Meetings on the 3th Monday of each month (Sept-May) at Rosemont Elementary School. Our Dens also meet at least once or twice a month to work toward advancement with fun activities, or go on "field trips" to local areas of interest or importance.

Dens are organized based on the Scout's age.
*Lions are Kindergarten Scouts.
*Tigers can start at the conclusion of their Kindergarten year (rising first graders).
*The Wolf Den is made up of 2nd Grade Scouts.
*The Bear Den is comprised of 3rd Grade Scouts.
*The WEBELOS Den is comprised of 4th Grade Scouts.
*Last but certainly not least is the Arrow of Light Den, formed by our 5th Grade Scouts.

Our goal is to maintain a quality program which provides the Scouts a lot of fun with a purpose, and to instill in them a sense of pride, personal worth, friendship, and civic responsibility. We feel that our activities and community service projects accomplish these goals.

If you think your child(ren) would like to be a member of our Pack, please join us for one of our activities or meetings! For more information, click on the "Contact Our Pack" icon above.
