Community Service Bars for Cadettes (+)


There is updated information in the new Girls Guide to Girl Scouting about the community service bars (handout attached).

There are six different Community Service bars:

  • Cadettes:
    • Community Service Bar is red
    • Service to Girl Scouting Bar is green with red corner
  • Seniors:
    • Community Service Bar is orange
    • Service to Girl Scouting Bar is green with orange corner
  • Ambassadors
    • Community Service Bar is yellow
    • Service to Girl Scouting Bar is green with yellow corner

How do you earn this award? Here are the three simple steps:

  1. Work with your Troop Advisor to locate an organization that you wish to serve in your community.
  2. Contact Tiffany Tolbert at ttolbert@gsgatl.org or by calling 770-702-9145.
  3. Commit yourself to 20 hours of service. When you have completed this commitment, you may purchase the appropriate Service Bar from all locations of the Girl Scout Badge & Sash Store .
